Hey !
I wrapped up a project in Dilworth where we focused on finishing off the first floor of the home. They had recently revamped their kitchen with all new finishes and lighting and were onto a master bathroom renovation when I came into the mix. The projects main focus was completely changing the style of the spaces from a semi-traditional look to a more transitional style. It’s great to mix different styles of furniture and patterns together to create a collected look, instead of looking like everything was bought at once out of a catalog.
Here is what we started with, it was basically a blank canvas since it was already decided pre-Crandall Haus that they would be selling off almost all of the existing furniture!

This home has great bones and was great to design for, with high ceilings, woodworking details and bright light. We chose to stay with a somewhat subdued color palette, bringing interest in through layering prints and textures with our rug and fabric selections.
Let me walk you through the finished product, starting at the front of the house, the dining room. What I love about this room is that it has a formal look to it without being too serious. Like I said before we kept things pretty neutral but layered those neutrals with patterns that played well off of each other.

We mixed the metals throughout the room between chrome, brass and champagne.

We did a little redo of the powder room off of the family room as well. First we switched out the old pedestal sink to a more squared off updated version, along with the faucet. Those two changes alone were fairly inexpensive but made a big difference. Wallpaper on all of the walls in this powder room turned this small, untouched area into a fun dramatic space.

The master bedroom followed suite sticking with a clean color palette with a pop of blue. We kept the existing bed, but changed out everything else. Heres how it turned out..

Adding these tall drapes flanking the windows help draw your eye up to how tall the ceilings are in this room. Dropping down a bold chandelier helped fill that empty space created by those heigh ceilings!

Lastly was the master bathroom. My clients worked with RAM construction on this project. They completely changed the layout of the bathroom to a more functional and practical layout. They chose to stick with a bright white and grey clean look. I helped along the way with lighting and color selections. I think it turned out pretty great..
